Overview

Little Caesars Arena opened in 2017 on Woodward Avenue, the main street that runs north from the Detroit River through downtown and Midtown. It was built as the centre of a new entertainment district between the two, and the QLine streetcar runs past it along Woodward, which makes it easy to reach from most central hotels.

Journey play here on Monday 2 November 2026 on their Final Frontier farewell tour. For many fans this is a special stop: Detroit is the city name-checked in the band's best-known song. Our Journey tour cities guide lists the rest of the tour.

Music and art the next day

The Motown Museum, in the modest house on West Grand Boulevard where Berry Gordy's label recorded its early hits, is the stop for music fans; the tour includes Studio A, where so many of those songs were cut. Book ahead. The Detroit Institute of Arts in Midtown, a ride up Woodward, holds one of the great art collections in the country, and its courtyard covered in Diego Rivera's murals of the city's car factories is reason enough to go.

Downtown, walk the Riverwalk with Canada on the far bank, and look up at the Guardian Building, an Art Deco tower with a remarkable lobby. If it is a Saturday, Eastern Market, a big open-air food market, is the best morning in the city, but a Monday show means you will find it quiet.

The city today

Detroit has changed a lot in the past decade. Downtown and Midtown are lively, with new restaurants and hotels, but the city is large and uneven, and some areas a few blocks away are empty at night. Stay central and use the streetcar or rideshares after dark.

The Motor City

The car industry shaped Detroit, and its story is best told at The Henry Ford, a large museum complex in Dearborn, a drive west of the city. It includes historic cars, the bus on which Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat, and a factory tour of the plant where Ford builds trucks today. It needs most of a day. Closer in, the Belle Isle park in the river has a conservatory, an aquarium and views of the skyline.

The arena itself is one of the newest in the country, with a wide covered concourse lined with bars and food stands, so once the doors open you can eat inside instead of hunting for a table in the surrounding streets on a busy night.

Tickets & Getting There

Tickets

Buy from the arena's official ticket seller or through the link on the band's official site. Avoid private sellers on social media.

Getting there

Detroit Metropolitan Airport is a drive west of the city; a rideshare or taxi is simplest. In the city, the QLine streetcar runs along Woodward between downtown and Midtown, with a stop near the arena, and the People Mover monorail loops around downtown. Check the QLine's hours before relying on it after a late show. Toronto fans can drive or take a bus via Windsor, across the river.

Where to stay

  • Downtown: walk or take the streetcar to the arena; close to the river and the main hotels.
  • Midtown: near the art museum and the universities, a short ride down Woodward.
  • Corktown: the oldest neighbourhood, with good bars and restaurants, a short ride west.

Accessibility and VIP

Accessible seating is sold through the official seller; the arena's guest services can advise on entrances and lifts. Buy VIP packages only through the band's official site.

Tips

  • Read the bag policy on the arena's website before you go.
  • Book the Motown Museum in advance; tour places are limited.
  • Bring a proper coat. Detroit in early November can be cold and windy, and the walk from the streetcar is outdoors.
  • Plan your ride home before the show ends and walk a block or two from the arena to meet it.
  • Carry your passport if you plan to cross into Canada at Windsor.
  • Try a Coney dog, a hot dog with chili and onions, the city's own late-night food.
  • Book the Henry Ford's factory tour ahead if you want to see the assembly line; it is separate from the museum.
  • Arrive early on Woodward; the streetcar is busy before big events, so allow extra time.
  • Stay in the busy, lit streets around the arena and downtown after dark.
