Journey's Final Frontier Tour: A Travel Guide to the Cities
Every city and arena on the autumn leg of Journey's Final Frontier farewell tour, with how to reach each venue, where to stay nearby and what to do the day after.
Journey's Final Frontier Tour is billed as the band's farewell run, and plenty of fans are building a trip around one of the last shows. The autumn 2026 leg crosses North America from Los Angeles in September to a hometown finale in San Francisco on 28 November. The band formed in San Francisco in 1973, so the last night is a homecoming as much as a farewell.
This guide is for anyone travelling to a show: where each arena is, how to get there without a car where that is possible, where to sleep so the walk back is short, and what to do with the day after. We are an independent travel site with no connection to the band or the promoters. Dates and venues come from the tour announcement, and they can change, so check the band's official site before you book anything, and buy tickets only from the official seller for each venue.

Center, 22), Baltimore (CFG Bank Arena, 24), Newark (Prudential Center, 25), Philadelphia (Xfinity Mobile Arena, 28), Providence (Amica Mutual Pavilion, 29).

Florida and the South
Sunrise, 16 October. Amerant Bank Arena sits in the western suburbs of Fort Lauderdale, beside the Sawgrass Mills outlet mall and close to the edge of the Everglades. This is a car or rideshare show: there is no rail link worth planning around. Fort Lauderdale's airport is the closest, and many fans stay in Miami or Fort Lauderdale and drive in. Leave plenty of time, because the motorways around the arena jam on event nights.
Orlando, 17 October. The Kia Center is in downtown Orlando, a short walk from the bars and restaurants of Church Street and from the SunRail commuter station of the same name. A downtown hotel means walking home. Most visitors stay near the theme parks to the south-west instead, which works too, but plan a rideshare back rather than counting on hotel shuttles late at night.
Atlanta, 19 October. State Farm Arena is right in the centre, beside Centennial Olympic Park, with a MARTA station next to it and trains to the airport. Downtown hotels around the park are the obvious base. The next morning, the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola and the College Football Hall of Fame are all on the same few blocks.
Nashville, 21 October. Bridgestone Arena stands on Lower Broadway, the strip of honky-tonks with live music spilling out of every door, and the Country Music Hall of Fame is next door. The Ryman Auditorium is a couple of blocks away. Stay downtown or in the Gulch and you can walk everywhere, though Broadway is loud until very late. This is the stop where a concert trip turns easily into a long weekend.
Louisville, 22 October. The KFC Yum! Center sits on Main Street by the Ohio River. Whiskey Row, with its bourbon distillery experiences, and the Louisville Slugger Museum are a walk away along the same street, so a downtown hotel covers both the show and the next day.
The East Coast
Baltimore, 24 October. CFG Bank Arena is downtown, a few blocks from the Inner Harbor. If you are visiting Washington DC, MARC commuter trains and Amtrak link the two cities, but check the last train back before you count on it; a hotel near the harbour is the safer choice.
Newark, 25 October. The Prudential Center is a short walk from Newark Penn Station, which NJ Transit and Amtrak trains reach from Penn Station in Manhattan, and PATH trains from the World Trade Center. That makes it an easy night out from a New York hotel.
Philadelphia, 28 October. Xfinity Mobile Arena is in the South Philadelphia sports complex, at the southern end of the Broad Street Line subway. Stay in Center City or Old City, near Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, and ride the subway down. Spend the day after on the historic sights and a cheesesteak.
Providence, 29 October. The Amica Mutual Pavilion is in compact downtown Providence, near the river walk. Commuter trains and Amtrak run from Boston, so this show pairs well with a Boston stay.
Wilkes-Barre, 6 November. The Mohegan Arena is outside Wilkes-Barre in north-eastern Pennsylvania, near the Pocono Mountains. You will need a car. Hotels cluster near the motorway, and the autumn colour in the hills nearby is a good reason to stay an extra day.
Uniondale, 7 November. Nassau Coliseum is on Long Island, and the simplest way in from New York is the Long Island Rail Road to Hempstead, then a bus or taxi. A car makes the journey home easier.
Boston, 10 November. TD Garden sits on top of North Station, so trains, the subway and the commuter rail stop underneath it. The West End and the North End are both a short walk away, and our where to stay in Boston guide compares the central areas.
The Great Lakes and Toronto
Detroit, 2 November. Little Caesars Arena is on Woodward Avenue between downtown and Midtown, and the QLine streetcar runs along Woodward past it. Stay downtown or in Midtown, and use the morning after for the Detroit Institute of Arts.
Toronto, 4 November. Scotiabank Arena is joined to Union Station, where the UP Express arrives from Pearson Airport. Our downtown Toronto guide covers the area, and the CN Tower and the waterfront are steps away. Remember that Canada requires its own entry permission for many travellers.
Cleveland, 12 November. Rocket Arena is in the Gateway District next to the baseball stadium, linked to the rail hub at Tower City. For a fan of a band like Journey, the day after picks itself: the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a walk away on the lakefront.
The Carolinas, the Midwest and Texas
Greenville, 14 November. The Bon Secours Wellness Arena is in downtown Greenville, close to Main Street's restaurants and to Falls Park on the Reedy, where a curved suspension bridge looks over the waterfall. A small, walkable downtown and the easiest stop on the tour for a calm night.
St. Louis, 16 November. Enterprise Center is downtown with a MetroLink light rail station nearby, and the Gateway Arch is a short ride or a long walk east by the Mississippi. Stay downtown and see the Arch the next morning.
Houston, 18 November. The Toyota Center is on the eastern side of downtown, next to Discovery Green. Downtown hotels let you walk; most other districts mean a rideshare. Space Center Houston makes the obvious day trip.
Dallas, 20 November. The American Airlines Center anchors Victory Park, just north-west of downtown, with its own DART light rail station. Uptown's hotels and restaurants are close by, and Dealey Plaza and the Sixth Floor Museum fill the next day.
The West and the finale
Denver, 22 November. Ball Arena is on the edge of LoDo, a walk from Union Station, with a light rail stop of its own. The city sits a mile above sea level, so drink more water than you think you need and go easy on the beer if you have just flown in.
Anaheim, 24 November. The Honda Center is beside the ARTIC transit centre, served by Metrolink and Amtrak trains, and close to the Disneyland Resort. Fans flying into Los Angeles should allow for heavy traffic heading south.
Las Vegas, 27 November. The MGM Grand Garden Arena is inside the MGM Grand on the south Strip, with a monorail station in the resort. Thanksgiving weekend fills hotels, so book early; our where to stay in Las Vegas guide explains the different parts of the Strip.
San Francisco, 28 November. The finale. Chase Center is in Mission Bay, on Muni's T Third Street line, with the Caltrain station at 4th and King a walk away. Stay near Union Square or SoMa for the shortest ride back, and read our where to stay in San Francisco guide before you choose a block. Expect this night to sell out first and hotel prices to rise across the city.
Planning a trip around a show
- Book the room before the flight. Arena nights push up hotel rates within walking distance, and the closest rooms go first.
- Arrive the day before. A delayed flight on show day is the most common way to miss a concert.
- Check the venue's bag policy. Most US arenas only allow small or clear bags; read the rules on the arena's own site.
- Plan the way home. Trains and buses thin out late at night, and rideshare prices jump as an arena empties. Walking back to a nearby hotel beats both.
- Entry rules. Visitors from Visa Waiver countries need an ESTA for the US, and Canada has its own rules. Our USA travel guide and Canada travel guide cover the basics.
