Overview

Enterprise Center, home of the St. Louis Blues ice hockey team, stands on the western side of downtown St. Louis, close to Union Station and the Civic Center stop on the MetroLink light rail. The line runs straight from the airport, so this is one of the easier tour stops to reach without a car.

Journey play here on Monday 16 November 2026 on their Final Frontier farewell tour. Our Journey tour cities guide covers the rest of the dates.

The Arch and the river

The Gateway Arch, a steel curve taller than any building in the city, stands on the bank of the Mississippi at the eastern end of downtown. You can ride a small tram pod up inside one of its legs to a narrow viewing room at the top, with views over the river into Illinois. Book the tram ahead online; it sells out on busy days and is not for the claustrophobic. The museum under the Arch about westward expansion is free to enter.

Forest Park and beyond

Forest Park, west of downtown, is larger than New York's Central Park and home to several free institutions: the Saint Louis Art Museum, the zoo, the Missouri History Museum and the Science Center. It is the best free day out in any city on the tour. Closer to the arena, Union Station has an aquarium and a Ferris wheel, and the City Museum, a strange and wonderful indoor playground built from salvaged materials, is a hit with adults as much as children.

Food means toasted ravioli, gooey butter cake and St. Louis-style barbecue ribs, and beer lovers can tour the historic Anheuser-Busch brewery south of downtown.

Music in St. Louis

St. Louis has deep musical roots: blues, ragtime and rock and roll. The National Blues Museum, downtown, tells the story of the music and its influence on rock, and Chuck Berry, one of rock's founding figures, came from this city; his statue stands in the Delmar Loop, a lively street of bars, restaurants and live music venues west of Forest Park, where he played for years. For a rock fan in town for a big show, the Loop makes a good evening the night before.

A Monday show has one advantage: hotels downtown are often quieter and better value than at weekends, and the main sights are less crowded the morning after.

Tickets & Getting There

Tickets

Buy from the arena's official ticket seller or through the band's official site. Avoid offers from strangers on social media.

Getting there

MetroLink's Red Line runs from St. Louis Lambert International Airport into downtown, with a stop close to the arena. It is cheap and simple, but check the last trains before relying on it after a late show. Drivers will find garages around the arena; leaving them after a sold-out event is slow.

Where to stay

  • Downtown or near Union Station: walk to the arena and take MetroLink to the airport.
  • Central West End: leafy streets and restaurants beside Forest Park, a MetroLink ride away.

Accessibility and VIP

Accessible seating is sold through the official seller; the arena's guest services can help with entrances and lifts. Buy VIP packages only through the band's official site.

Parking

Garages and surface car parks surround the arena and Union Station. Pre-book where you can, arrive early, and expect a slow exit after the show. On a Monday night, traffic is lighter than at weekends, but the train is still the simplest choice.

Tips

  • Check the bag policy on the arena's website before you go.
  • Book the Arch tram online in advance and arrive early for security.
  • Use MetroLink with the crowd after the show, and stay in busy, lit areas downtown at night.
  • Pack warm clothes. Mid-November in St. Louis can be raw and windy by the river.
  • Plan Forest Park by area; the museums are spread out across the park, so pick two or three rather than trying to see them all.
  • Visit the Delmar Loop for live music on a free evening; MetroLink stops nearby.
  • Try toasted ravioli before you leave; it is on almost every local menu.
  • See the Arch at sunset the day before the show; the steel turns gold in the evening light.
  • Visit the City Museum in comfortable clothes; you climb and crawl through much of it.
