Miami 3-Day Itinerary
Three days that balance the beach, the city and the wild edge of Florida.
This plan assumes you stay in South Beach and use rideshare for the mainland. Swap the days around to dodge the weather, and keep the beach for your sunniest morning.
Day 1: South Beach
Start with a morning swim at Lummus Park, then join an Art Deco walking tour from the Welcome Center on Ocean Drive. Have lunch on Española Way. In the afternoon, visit the Wolfsonian or walk Lincoln Road. Watch the sunset at South Pointe Park, then have dinner a few blocks inland from Ocean Drive, and come back to see the neon lit up.
Day 2: Little Havana and Wynwood
Cross the bay in the morning for our Little Havana walk: coffee, dominoes and a Cuban sandwich for lunch. In the afternoon, head to Wynwood Walls and the surrounding street art, then the Design District. In the evening, eat in Wynwood, or return to Little Havana for live music at Ball & Chain.
Day 3: The Everglades or Vizcaya
Choose one. Drive or take a tour to Shark Valley in the Everglades for the tram tour and the alligators, which works best in the dry season. Or stay closer: tour Vizcaya and its gardens in the morning, then spend the afternoon in Coconut Grove, and have dinner by the bay in Brickell. In the wet season, keep this day flexible and move the outdoor parts to the morning, before the afternoon storms.
With more time
Add Key Biscayne for a quieter beach day, Coral Gables and the Venetian Pool, or a road trip down the Keys with a night in Key West.
