Getting Around Niagara Falls: WEGO Buses, Niagara Parks Adventure Pass & Incline Railway
How to use the WEGO Green and Blue bus lines, the 60-second Falls Incline Railway and bundled Niagara Parks Passes.
Parking a car at the main Table Rock car park right beside the Horseshoe Falls carries a steep daily fee. Instead of driving and paying for parking at every stop along the gorge, use Niagara's dedicated visitor transit network: the WEGO Bus System and the Falls Incline Railway, both included in the official Niagara Parks Passes.
1. How the Colour-Coded 'WEGO' Bus System Works (24h & 48h Passes)
WEGO is a hop-on, hop-off public transit network linking all Niagara Parks attractions with the hotel districts and the train station. Note that WEGO does not sell single-ride tickets; instead, you buy a 24-Hour Pass or 48-Hour Pass at Table Rock, the Train Station or major hotels (check current pass rates on the official site):
- The WEGO Green Line (The Scenic Niagara Parkway & Gorge Route, Most Important): runs along the river edge from Rapidsview Car Park (south of the falls) → Table Rock (Horseshoe Falls) → Niagara City Cruises Boat Dock → White Water Walk → Whirlpool Aero Car → Niagara Glen → Butterfly Conservatory & Botanical Gardens (where you can transfer in summer onto the seasonal Niagara-on-the-Lake Shuttle via the Floral Clock and Queenston Heights).
- The WEGO Blue Line (Fallsview & Clifton Hill Hotel Shuttle): loops every 15 to 20 minutes from Table Rock up through the Fallsview Boulevard Hotels, Skylon Tower and Victoria Centre / Clifton Hill.
- The WEGO Red Line (Train/Bus Station & Lundy's Lane): connects the GO Train & Bus Terminal to Table Rock and Lundy's Lane.
2. Which 'Niagara Parks Pass' Should You Buy? (And the Park & Ride Tip)
- Adventure Pass Classic (May to Oct) vs Wonder Pass (Year-Round): the Adventure Pass Classic bundles 4 top attractions (Niagara City Cruises Boat Tour + Journey Behind the Falls + Niagara Parks Power Station + White Water Walk) plus 2 full days of unlimited WEGO Buses. Visiting in winter or adding the Butterfly Conservatory and Aero Car? Upgrade to the Adventure Pass Plus, which also includes the Falls Incline Railway.
- Driving a Car? Use the 'Rapidsview' Park & Ride Car Park: instead of paying premium rates at Table Rock, park 2 km south at Rapidsview Lot (7360 Niagara Pkwy) for a much lower daily rate, which includes a complimentary shuttle bus every 15 minutes straight to Table Rock.
