Getting to Fethiye from Dalaman Airport (DLM) by Havaş, Muttaş and Coach

The gateway airport for Fethiye, Ölüdeniz, Göcek, Dalyan and Kaş is Dalaman International Airport (DLM), located just 45 kilometres (45 to 55 minutes by road) north-west of Fethiye Town via the four-lane D400 highway and the fast Göcek Road Tunnel. (If you are connecting overland from Antalya in the east, direct Pamukkale and Fethiye Seyahat coaches take 3 hours 15 minutes along the scenic highland Korkuteli route into Fethiye).

1. Havaş and Muttaş Airport Shuttle Coaches (Cheapest & Timed to Every Flight)

You never need to pre-book an airport bus at Dalaman. Walk out of the Domestic or International arrivals terminal and turn toward the bus bays where white Havaş coaches and Muğla Municipality Muttaş coaches wait side by side:

• Departure timing and route: coaches depart 20 to 25 minutes after every domestic flight lands (and every 30 to 45 minutes throughout the day during the international summer season from April to November). They drive through the Göcek Tunnel, stopping on request at Göcek junction (25 mins) and along the northern edge of Fethiye at Çalış / Günlükbaşı junction before terminating at Fethiye Intercity Bus Station (Fethiye Otogarı) in 45 to 55 minutes.
• How to pay: tap any contactless Visa or Mastercard debit/credit card (or pay in Turkish lira) directly to the driver or attendant when loading your suitcase.
• Connecting from Fethiye Otogar to your hotel (2 minutes across the platform): Fethiye Otogar sits right in town behind the Taşyaka shopping mall. If you are staying in Ölüdeniz, Hisarönü, Ovacık, Çalış Beach or Karagözler, you do not even need a taxi: walk 30 metres to the local dolmuş minibus bays at the edge of the bus station or take a 5-minute taxi straight to the harbour.

2. Airport Taxis and Pre-Booked Private Transfers (Direct to Ölüdeniz or Faralya)

Because shuttle coaches terminate at Fethiye Bus Station (requiring a 20-minute onward minibus or taxi over the mountain if your hotel is in Ölüdeniz, Kayaköy or Faralya), couples and families staying outside Fethiye Town often pre-book a private air-conditioned Mercedes Vito minivan transfer or take a metered yellow airport taxi, which drives door-to-door from Dalaman Airport to Ölüdeniz in 55 to 60 minutes.
