Museum of the World Ocean: Research Ship Vityaz, Submarine B-413 and Fleet Quay
Tour Russia's premier maritime museum along the Pregolya River, boarding the 1939 RV Vityaz, submarine B-413, and Cosmonaut Viktor Patsayev.
Stretching along the northern bank of the Pregolya River west of Kant Island, the Museum of the World Ocean was established on 12 April 1990 and forms Russia's largest comprehensive maritime museum. Its open-air Embankment of the Historical Fleet (Naberezhnaya Istoricheskogo Flota) moors a remarkable squadron of scientific, naval, and fishing vessels alongside deep-sea submersibles, aquariums, and the spherical glass Planet Ocean building.

Pavilions, Deep-Sea Submersibles and Historic Gate Branches
On shore, exhibition halls display marine skeletons, shells, oceanographic instruments, and manned deep-ocean submersibles. The museum also operates historical branches inside two restored nineteenth-century fortifications: the Great Embassy exposition at King's Gate and the shipbuilding exhibition at Friedrichsburg Gate (1852), both covered in our city gates and Fort No. 5 guide. Check the official museum website for ticket combinations across individual ships.
