Getting to Gaziantep: Oğuzeli Airport (GZT) Havaş, Bus B01 and Intercity Coaches

Taking the 35-minute Havaş coach or Bus B01 from Gaziantep Airport straight to downtown hotels.

Gaziantep International Airport (GZT, Oğuzeli) lies 20 kilometres south-east of the city centre and expanded in 2021 with a spacious modern terminal handling frequent daily non-stop flights from Istanbul (both IST and SAW, 1 hour 40 minutes flight time), Ankara, Izmir, Antalya and European hubs. Getting from baggage claim into central Gaziantep takes 30 to 40 minutes.

1. Havaş Airport Shuttle Coaches (Most Convenient, Timed to Every Flight)

White Havaş coaches wait directly outside the arrivals exit doors, departing 20 to 25 minutes after every domestic flight lands. You pay on board with a contactless bank card or Turkish lira cash. The standard route runs straight through the heart of the city along the main hotel avenues, stopping on request at:

  • Karataş / Üniversite Bulvarı (southern residential districts),
  • 25 Aralık Devlet Hastanesi & Yüzüncü Yıl Kültür Parkı / Demokrasi Meydanı (get off here for a 5-minute walk or short taxi hop to Bey Mahallesi, Gaziantep Castle and the Copper Bazaar),
  • İncilipınar / Dezanne & Grand Hotel (the main modern business hotel hub in Şehitkamil, close to the Archaeology and Zeugma Museums), before terminating at the Intercity Bus Terminal (Otogar).

2. Municipal Express Bus B01 (Balıklı, Havalimanı) & Taxis

Operated by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality (GAZİULAŞ), orange public Bus B01 runs between the airport terminal and the central square at Balıklı Parkı (right beside the Old Town and Tourist Information) via the University and Karataş for a standard city bus fare paid by tapping a contactless Visa or Mastercard. Metered yellow airport taxis wait 24/7 outside the terminal doors and reach Bey Mahallesi or Şehitkamil in 25 minutes.

3. Arriving by Intercity Coach at Gaziantep Otogar

If you are travelling overland across southeastern Turkey (90 minutes from Kahramanmaraş or Kilis, 2 hours from Şanlıurfa or Adana, 3 hours from Hatay/Antakya), coaches pull into the modern Gaziantep Bus Terminal (Otogar) on the northern ring road, connected to the city centre and Zeugma Museum by municipal buses (such as B39 and B59) and free coach-company customer shuttles (servis).
