3 Days in Şanlıurfa: Göbeklitepe, Karahantepe, Balıklıgöl, Museums and Harran
Three memorable days linking the 11,600-year-old temples of Göbeklitepe and Karahantepe with Balıklıgöl and Harran.
This three-day itinerary is designed in the exact order archaeologists recommend: you visit the Şanlıurfa Archaeology Museum on Day 1 so you understand the Neolithic timeline and see the original statues first, then stand before Göbeklitepe and Karahantepe on Day 2, and explore Harran, Bazda Caves or Sunken Halfeti on Day 3. Read our Bus 100 and transport guide before Day 1.
