3-Day Quito Itinerary: Historic Centre, TeleferiQo, Equator and Cotopaxi

A well-paced 3-day Quito itinerary engineered for altitude acclimatisation, pairing the UNESCO Old Town on Day 1 with the TeleferiQo on Day 2 and the Equator or Cotopaxi on Day 3.

Because Quito's weather and high altitude reward early starts and gradual ascents, this three-day route keeps you at 2,850 metres inside the UNESCO Historic Centre on Day 1 before ascending Pichincha Volcano on Day 2 and venturing out to the Equator or Cotopaxi on Day 3. For food stops along the way, keep our guide to what to eat in Quito handy.
